COVID-19 procedure update

To our customers,

we are delighted that due to the main restrictions being lifted in Leicester, meaning that people are now able to travel for non essential reasons, we no longer require ID on arrival at our site.

We do still operate our Track & Trace system for our customers, and require bookings for inside tables for maximum of 6 people & two households per table

Eat Out To Help Out

As of Monday 3rd August we will be taking part in the *Eat Out to Help Out* scheme. We will be serving food again from this date Mon-Weds evenings!
This means that any of our customers can enjoy 50% off food and non-alcoholic products, up to a value of £10 per person at our sites any time Monday – Wednesday throughout August.
**We highly recommend booking your table to avoid any disappointment on the day!**

Please be aware that while the Leicester local lockdown is still in place, we cannot accept anyone from the areas within the boundaries, and will require valid proof of address for all guests on entry

Leicester Lockdown Procedures

While the local lock down is in place in certain areas of Leicester, we are required to check everyone’s valid ID with proof of address on before allowing entry.  This can be in the form of a driving licence, utility bill, or anything showing your name and home address.  This is a requirement at all of our sites and is in place to keep our staff and customers as safe as possible while visiting us.  Please bare with us while we have to go through these procedures.  Thank you


Good news!!

As now announced by the government, we are allowed to open our doors from Saturday 4th July! We can’t thank everyone enough for your patience, kind words and messages of support throughout this time, and we are so excited to see our lovely customers again.

Going forward, there will be some changes to how we are operating at The Swan, and we want to let you know what you can expect to see going forward. We will continue to review the guidelines and government advice regularly, and may make changes in the coming weeks, but for now we are doing everything we can to keep our staff and customers safe while visiting our sites.

The Swan opening times will be as follows for the foreseeable:

Sat 4th July: 11am – 11pm
Sun 5th July: 11am – 7pm
Mon 6th – Thurs 9th: 4pm – 10pm
Fri 10th: 11am – 11pm

For the time being, we will only be open for drinks service, with no food menu available. We hope to bring food service back for our customers as soon as possible.

Any customers wishing to drink inside will be required to make a booking for a table. You can contact us to make a booking on [email protected] or 0116 279 2165. For all those who have contacted us already, please bare with us, we will get back to you asap.

As well as the above, a one way system will be clearly marked out inside the main pub. Our staff will be outside to meet you and queuing outside will be very likely, although we will try our best to get you seated inside as quickly as possible. Socially distancing of minimum 1 metre will be required by our staff and customers, and we hope you will help us in our efforts to make your visit as safe as possible for everyone

Updated opening times

As we know, things are currently ever changing.  We are striving to stay open while we can, while keeping our premises as safe an environment for our guests and staff as possible.

Please see our updated opening and food service times below for the remainder of this week. We will continue to update you with any changes as and when they come into place.

Friday 20th: Open from 5pm – food served 5-9pm

Saturday 21st: Open from midday, food served 5-9pm

Sunday 22nd: Open from 12-7pm, food served 12-4pm

Updated information!

Dear customers,
In light of the current uncertainty surrounding the outbreak of Covid-19 and the effect it potentially will have in the near future on the hospitality industry, we have made the decision to make some changes to the opening hours of our sites.
With immediate effect, our sites will be open as follows for the remainder of this week. As the news and progress of the situation is ever changing, we will monitor these hours closely and notify you of any changes that are put in place going forward after this week:
The Swan Kibworth – open every evening from 5pm for drinks, with food being served from 5pm-9pm on Friday and Saturday evening
The Waterfront – open daily from 12-2.30pm & 5pm until normal closing time, food and drinks
Foxton Locks Inn – open daily from 10am – 4pm, with food being served from 12-3pm
Please note that our food menus in our sites that are still serving food will have a largely reduced menu on offer.
In light of these changes, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Mother’s Day service at all of our sites. We regret that any existing bookings will now need to be cancelled, as we wish to act as responsibly and considerately of the health and safety of our staff and customers as much as we can.
That being said, Foxton Locks Inn and The Waterfront will remain open for people wishing to join us on Sunday 22nd on a walk ins only basis, where we will aim to accommodate as many people as possible in the safest way, and again we will be offering a limited food and drinks menu on the day.
For any customers who do wish to join us, please be assured that all of our sites have spacious seating and various areas for people to eat and drink, and we will do our very best to ensure that we are offering appropriate distancing and safe interaction with others wherever possible

Important news about our opening hours!

To all our Customers

COVID-19 / Approach to The Swan opening hours.

In these uncertain times we completely understand peoples reticence and nervousness to perhaps be in public places and potentially further their exposure to the coronavirus. Notwithstanding we are doing all we can to keep our locations open and available to all those wishing to enjoy some time away from the confines of the home environment.

To help manage our business in the short term we at The Swan have decided to reduce our opening hours by closing in the afternoon’s Monday – Thursday between 2.30 & 5.00 pm. Please except our apologies for any inconvenience caused but are sure you understand in the current circumstances.
For the avoidance of doubt we will be open as normal all day Friday Saturday and Sunday.

As we are all aware, COVID-19 is currently increasing in the UK, as well as many countries around the world.   As our guests, want you to be confident in the knowledge that we have procedures in place for our staff to ensure that we are able to prevent and reduce the risk of being affected by the virus as much as we are able, and that the health and well-being of our team and customers is our main priority.

Our staff are fully aware of the requirements for keeping our standards of hygiene as high as possible throughout every aspect of our premises.  Any member of staff who has family, friends, or themselves, recently returned from affected areas have been told not to come into their place of work and inform us immediately so that we are able to take action and follow guidance given by the Government and the NHS.

Please be assured that we are following all official advice given and will continue to follow any progress or changes to information on a daily basis, so that we are able to make any changes necessary with immediate effect.
